I was born in 1983 in the Seferihisar district of Izmir. In 2000, I enrolled in the English Medicine program at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. I successfully graduated in 2007. The same year, after passing the TUS (Medical Specialty Examination), I started my residency training in general surgery at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, which was my first choice. During my residency, I was accepted into the Colorectal Surgery department at the Cleveland Clinic as a research fellow, where I participated in scientific research and observed surgeries in the field of colorectal surgery for six months.

In 2013, I obtained the title of general surgery specialist. The same year, I took the qualification exam organized by the Turkish Surgical Association and earned the qualification certificate with honors. Additionally, I passed the subspecialty training exam and began my training in Gastroenterology Surgery at Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital.

In 2016, I became a specialist in gastroenterology surgery and was appointed to Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital. In 2017, I achieved the title of European champion in the field of Coloproctology (Colorectal Surgery) through the exam organized by the European Union of Medical Specialists. During my 3.5 years of service, I successfully performed numerous surgeries, including gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver tumors, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and laparoscopic colon and rectum (colorectal) cancer surgeries.

Between 2020 and 2022, I served as a lecturer and continued my academic and surgical practice at Medipol University Medipol Mega Hospital. As a member of the Turkish Colon and Rectum Surgery Association (TKRCD), I take on roles as a speaker and instructor at courses on anorectal diseases, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and national congresses. I played a significant role in initiating and continuing the colorectal database project, which compiled data from many centers specializing in colorectal surgery, as planned by TKRCD in January 2018. Since May 2020, I have been a member of the TKRCD Competency Board. Additionally, I am a member of the Turkish Surgical Association, the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), and the Gastroenterology Surgery Association.
